Potato Latkes

Avichai Eisinger was coming to stay at Hanukah and he likes potatoes. So we asked his mum, Leah, what to make.

Potato Latkes

  • 1 kg Potatoes 6-7 Medium sized
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Bit of spicy paprika
  • Salt
  • 1-2 Eggs
  • 2-3 tablespoons flour


  • Peel potatoes and grate them
  • Grate or crush garlic
  • Add everything together
  • Mix well
  • Heat up oil for deep frying
  • Drop tablespoons of mixture into oil; remove Latkes from oil when golden on both sides


Serve with Tzatziki or sour cream
