Dana’s Scones

Dana's Scones
My six year old daughter Dana was given the job of cooking scones for her homework. It was all about measuring accurately. The school issued a recipe that actually produced quite nice scones.

Granola Las Bugambilias

In Oaxaca we stayed at a charming bed and breakfast place called La Casa de los Sabores, and it truly was a House of Flavours. Hotcakes, Pikelets, and Scotch Pancakes

Growing up in New Zealand I discovered the joys of Pikelets – small, thick pancakes we used to eat with butter and honey for afternoon tea. Later I discovered Hotcakes, which are served up for breakfast in the US with butter and maple syrup. Much later still, when I started making my own Hotcakes and ...

Karen’s Muffins

I was doing some courses for a while where the caterer (Karen) made fab muffins. Muffins are really simple to make. Mix the dry ingredients. Mix the wet. Mix the two together (briefly). Cook. With only 1/2 cup of sugar these are not very sweet, so you might want to use more. Makes 12.
