For a while I was making myself porridge every morning in a microwave. This is a “Steven” sized portion. The Scots serve porridge with salt. In New Zealand we prefer it sweet.
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 1/4 cups hot water
- Microwave 3-5 minutes (stir once)
- Serve with milk and brown sugar on top. Or, for a more healthy version substitute grated apple for the sugar.
