Creamy Mushroom Sauce

This is a variation on a pasta sauce recipe that Wendy Evans gave me.

Creamy Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • black pepper
  • 1/2 Thyme
  • Tin tomatoes
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 300 ml cream

Instructions
 

    1. Cook sage and rosemary until fragrant
  • Add mushrooms, black pepper, thyme
  • Cook 10 minutes
  • Add tomatoes and onion
  • Cook 20 minutes.
  • Add cream to mixture.
  • Notes

    Adding the onion later gives a milder/sweeter flavour.
