This is a variation on a pasta sauce recipe that Wendy Evans gave me.
Creamy Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients
- Olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
- 500 g mushrooms
- black pepper
- 1/2 Thyme
- Tin tomatoes
- 1 Onion chopped
- 300 ml cream
Instructions
- Cook sage and rosemary until fragrant
- Add mushrooms, black pepper, thyme
- Cook 10 minutes
- Add tomatoes and onion
- Cook 20 minutes.
- Add cream to mixture.
Notes
Adding the onion later gives a milder/sweeter flavour.
