We love it. The cake is moist and tasty – just the way I like them. Our family likes this cake so much that it is the most commonly baked cake in our house. It started life as a banana cake but we found the chocolates adds that special something.
Ingredients
Method
- cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
- Add mashed bananas and mix well
- Dissolve soda in the milk
- Add to batter
- Sprinkle chocolate chips or chunks over mixture.
- Sift flour and baking powder onto mixture
- Mix
- Bake at 180º C for 50 minutes.
Notes
We never ice this cake. Sometimes, if we care more about aesthetics than usual, we'll dust with icing sugar.
