Chicken Niblets (Wings)

Very yum. Party snack, or serve with rice tossed with fried mushrooms. I even made a Kosher version for Pesach lunch.

A tasty party snack or serve as a main with rice tossed with fried mushrooms.

  1. 16 chicken wings
  2. 125 g butter
  3. 75-100 mls soy sauce (original said 20 teaspoons!!)
  4. 1 small cup flour
  5. 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  6. 1 teaspoon curry powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  8. 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  9. 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  10. oil
  1. Snip off the tips of the wings. Separate each wing at the joint with poultry shears (be careful not to cut through the bone)
  2. Melt butter in a pan
  3. Add soy sauce to butter
  4. Brush each chicken joint with butter and soy sauce
  5. Mix flour, salt and spices in a bowl
  6. Roll chicken joints in flour mixture
  7. Chill thoroughly - all day if you like.
  8. Cover baking tray with thin layer of oil
  9. Place tray in oven to heat (few min)
  10. Arrange chicken in a single layer on the tray - no overlaps
  11. Cover and bake at 170° C for 1 hour
  12. Uncover and bake a further 10 min
