Chicken Niblets (Wings)

Very yum. Party snack, or serve with rice tossed with fried mushrooms. I even made a Kosher version for Pesach lunch.

Chicken Niblets (Wings)

A tasty party snack or serve as a main with rice tossed with fried mushrooms.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 chicken wings
  • 125 g butter
  • 75- 100 mls soy sauce original said 20 teaspoons!!
  • 1 small cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • oil

Instructions
 

  • Snip off the tips of the wings. Separate each wing at the joint with poultry shears (be careful not to cut through the bone)
  • Melt butter in a pan
  • Add soy sauce to butter
  • Brush each chicken joint with butter and soy sauce
  • Mix flour, salt and spices in a bowl
  • Roll chicken joints in flour mixture
  • Chill thoroughly - all day if you like.
  • Cover baking tray with thin layer of oil
  • Place tray in oven to heat (few min)
  • Arrange chicken in a single layer on the tray - no overlaps
  • Cover and bake at 170° C for 1 hour
  • Uncover and bake a further 10 min
