Very yum. Party snack, or serve with rice tossed with fried mushrooms. I even made a Kosher version for Pesach lunch.
Chicken Niblets (Wings)
A tasty party snack or serve as a main with rice tossed with fried mushrooms.
Ingredients
- 16 chicken wings
- 125 g butter
- 75- 100 mls soy sauce original said 20 teaspoons!!
- 1 small cup flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- oil
Instructions
- Snip off the tips of the wings. Separate each wing at the joint with poultry shears (be careful not to cut through the bone)
- Melt butter in a pan
- Add soy sauce to butter
- Brush each chicken joint with butter and soy sauce
- Mix flour, salt and spices in a bowl
- Roll chicken joints in flour mixture
- Chill thoroughly - all day if you like.
- Cover baking tray with thin layer of oil
- Place tray in oven to heat (few min)
- Arrange chicken in a single layer on the tray - no overlaps
- Cover and bake at 170° C for 1 hour
- Uncover and bake a further 10 min
