- Pour claret into saucepan
- Finely slice one unpeeled orange.
- Thinly pare the rind of the other.
- Add sliced orange and orange rind to claret
- Add sugar and spices to claret.
- Heat slowly to a comfortable drinking temperature.
- Add boiling water when just off the boil.
- Stir well.
- Add curacao and brandy.
- Pour into glasses
- Sprinkle wine with nutmeg
