Ingredients
  

  • 750 grams dates chopped
  • 150 grams walnuts ground 1
  • 1-2 large apples peeled and grated 2
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • [Optional] Pinch of cloves
  • 1/2 - 1 cup Sweet kosher wine or apple juice

Method
 

  1. Mix dates, walnuts, apple, cinnamon, cloves
  2. Add enough wine to moisten, but no more

Notes

(1) Marie doesn't have a blender so I grate the walnuts when I'm there.
(2) Marie prefers two large sweet eating apples but I go for 1 large Granny Smith.
