Orit's Hot Apple Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Granny Smith apples peeled & sliced finely
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil weak flavour like canola
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Method
 

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180º C
  2. Set the apple slices in the oiled 26 cm round tin
  3. Spread the cinnamon and sugar over apples.
  4. Mix the flour, sugar, oil, eggs and raisins.
  5. Spread the mixture on the apples.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes at 180º C until the cake is "gold" (light brown).
  7. Serve hot with ice-cream.
