Bran Muffins

A classic from the days when the only muffins were bran muffins.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 cups bran
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • Fruit and crap
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 cups milk
  • 3/4 cups water
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

  • Mix flour, bran, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and fruit
  • Melt golden syrup and butter
  • Add milk, water and egg to butter. Mix.
  • Pour liquids over the dry ingredients
  • Mix (at most 20 strokes)
  • Bake at 180ยบ C for 15-20 minutes
